Spring Fling Dining Room Table Design

With Easter around the corner and Spring peaking it's gorgeous head, I thought it would be appropriate to do a Spring style dining room table spread. I LOVE Spring flowers! I love the colors, the smell and the overall brightness they bring to any room or table. I decided when I was planning the table design I had to include fresh flowers as part of the decor. I found some beautiful lilies from the grocery and bright yellow daffodils on the side of the road for the extra bit of pop on the table! This post will explain how the table was put together, where many of the items were purchased and a few table etiquette tips as well! I included a video as well of the table to give it's beauty a little more justice! Let's explore this Spring Fling Dining Room Table Design!

I mentioned in another blog post last week the store Sandstone Gardens in Joplin, MO and all it's glory! I purchased the gorgeous yellow & white napkins and knew I wanted to use them for a dining room table layout. I honestly decided to design my table around the napkins. I chose my runners, chargers, plates and glasses accordingly. I also opted to use new blush colored napkins I purchased from Target as an accent color to the yellow ones. Once I decided on the basics, I brainstormed what I was going to use for napkin rings. I have collected a rather large selection of left over silk leaves and flowers from wreaths I've made and elected to use these to adorn the napkin along with jute rope and thin gold ribbon I had left over from Christmas. I grabbed the votives while gathering items for the table, not really knowing what I was going to do with them at first, then decided right away once I sat them down on the table, I wanted them on the plates along side the napkins.

Once I had the place setting designed, I searched for items to use for my center piece and to decorate the table. I knew I wanted to use candles on the table beyond the votives on the place settings and I also knew I wanted to use the small cupcake plates I made to display them! Side note: If you subscribe to my blog, you'll get a DIY blog post to your mailbox for the cupcake plates this Thursday!! Beyond the candles, I used faux robin eggs, flowers, and moss decorative balls for the table. For the center piece, I used a cake plate as the base, topped with a vintage lead paned window, robins eggs, gold eggs, a distressed bird, fresh flowers, a small terra-cotta pot with greenery and one of my Nesting Fever bird nests to complete the look!

As my norm, many of these items are found at Target, Dollar Tree, and craft stores. Here's a list of some of the items shown and the stores they can be found! Some of them are still available and links are provided if so. :)
